Fisherman's Outlet, Downtown LA
In my
opinion, this
is THE best,
Freshest
seafood in LA
If you love fresh, hot seafood, cooked to perfection, Fisherman's Outlet is it>
Here is a review I found on line:
The Fisherman's Outlet is a definite lunch destination for many
downtowners. Nothing fancy, but long on charm with solid seafood
cooking, The Fisherman's Outlet is a definite keeper. Prices range from
$5.95 to $22.99, soups range from $1.75 to $2.95 and Buds and Miller
are available for $1.75. The Fisherman's Outlet also features an
adjoining wholesale seafood market, which boasts fillets of tuna, red
snapper, swordfish steaks, colossal shrimp and a "one of a kind seafood
salad bar. Open Monday Thru Saturday 10:00 a. to 3:30 p.m., retail
market open Monday thru Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturrday 8 a.m. to
3:30 p.m.

I've never heard anyone say anything bad about this place. I've been
going there for over 8 years....

I always order the same thing... Gigantes (HUGE Shrimp!) with Rice and this GORGEOUS
Remoulade sauce that is great on at least a few bites! The shrimp are so fresh, hot and
delicious that just a squirt of lemon is all you need. The flavor is indescribable, yet always
the same! My favorite feature of a restaurant is their ability to be consistent! I have had other
things, I just LOVE those Gigantes! Fisherman's Outlet boys' got it going on!

They also have a fish market in the back where you can take fresh seafood to go. I've done
this several times. They are always real cool about packing it in ice for my drive back to OC
and giving me tons of fresh lemons!
